With the Harrisonville girls soccer season coming up in the near future the students at Harrisonville High are shaking with anticipation. “I have spring fever so it’s fun to get outside and support some my friends,” said Senior Jasper Davis. I spoke with senior Saryn Peoples and it was clear she was ready for the season to get underway. Below is the interview:
Q: What are your expectations for the season?
A: My expectations are pretty high this season. I think we have a strong team and I think we’ll make it pretty far this season.
Q: How are you replacing the seniors you lost last year?
A: I wouldn’t say we are replacing the seniors but we are really adjusting just by transitioning in the field.
Q: As a senior how do you want to end your soccer career?
A: I want to end my soccer career on a good note by just having fun with the girls on the field but also competing really hard for a good title as a team
Q: Do you have any personal goals for the season?
A: To just really have fun with the team, but make it past Sion in the district championship.
Q: Who do you expect to be your best competition this season?
A: I’m not really sure. We’ve always had good competition with Pleasant Hill but each year is a new season and we never really know what we are facing in that game.
The Wildcats officially kick off their season Tuesday, Mar 20 at home against the Odessa Bulldogs.
