The Harrisonville Music Makers and Forefront competed last Saturday. The competition was held at Pleasant Hill High School. Music Makers earned third place overall.
The two show choirs have been practicing since the beginning of August, so they hit the stage with confidence.
Dance captain John Coday was very happy with the show’s outcome.
“It felt amazing because we all thought we were going home since we didn’t place in prelims. We moved from sixth overall to third, and that was fantastic. We placed higher than one of our rival choirs who we haven’t beat in a long time,” said junior John Coday.
The high energy, many hours of hard work and practice paid off for the Harrisonville Music Makers.
“We’ve definitely put in a lot of hard work from late Monday night practices to school performances,” said senior Devin Hawkins.
The next show choir competition will be held at Smith Cotton in Sedalia on February 4. The show choirs would appreciate everyone’s support!
