With very few art competitions in which Harrisonville High School competes in, the art competition at Ray-Pec High School on November 12 was an important one.
Students did everything from painting a still-life, drawing a still-life, drawing models and figures, and even sculpting from clay.
Schools from all around the area showed up, sending students who excel in all of these areas. In each there was a first, second, and third place.
Harrisonville High School achieved third place out of all of the schools that attended. We had several first place winners in areas such as fabrics, drawing a still-life, and graphic design.
Second place went to Lee’s Summit High School, and first went to Lee’s Summit West. This was their second year in a row winning, and they get to hold onto the travelling trophy until next year.
